Sustainable architecture involves the conscious integration of local materials, waste paper and inert waste plastics to generate truly creative shapes. Green Rhino Building Products uses its patented systems to achieve such merits. Our architectural designs integrate not only the typical mechanicals, but the overall designs also include wastewater treatment to high quality standards for recirculation and re-use, biofuel generation, aquaponics, animals' nutrition, washdown and crop irrigation.
Advanced wastewater treatment methods are applied to effect a complete purification of graywater and animal washdown for potability, irrigation, aquaponics and on-going recirculation. Sewage purification operates on an ancillary pyrolytic system to accommodate choices in recirculated water sources and to ensure the safety offered by complete pathogen eradication.
Solids waste can be the most difficult part of a zero-waste system to manage. Pyrolysis is among the best technologies implemented to eliminate solids waste. Biochar, the byproduct of gasification/pyrolysis, can be used in a myriad of ways. In this system, biochar will be reintroduced to the water filtration system as needed to replenish activated carbon media in the tertiary clarification phase of the water purification process. As a soil amendment, biochar increases agricultural productivity, and it provides protection against some foliar and soil-borne diseases.
Nutrition and nutritional education are integral to the proper agricultural planning of the aquaponic/hydroponic and agronomic crops to be introduced into the system. Proper nutrition lends itself to proper cognition, stable moods, and prenatal health. Cultural influence as to crop specification is observed per region.
Once the basic needs of a family or village are fully addressed, education is the next integral element such that on-going maintenance and understanding of the home system is achieved by the residents. Further educational disciplines enhance intellectual strength and competence of individuals, families and villages as they advance toward entering the global economy - now and for future generations.
